A complete set of First Editions of Campbell's groundbreaking series on the origin, history and function of myth. Cloth lightly rubbed, corners and spine ends bumped and lightly chafed - some a bit more than others, page edges a little thumbed with some darkening & foxing, pages lightly browned with some light foxing to first and last pages, text unmarked. Some darkening to cloth of Vol. 2 & 3, boards of Vol. 2 very slightly warped. Gift inscriptions Vols. 2 & 3, previous owner's name in ink on half title page of Vol. 4, endpapers unevenly faded in Vol. 4. This set was clearly put together by a more recent owner well after the original print dates, thus book & jacket condition varies a bit but overall, a solid VG set in Good to VG- dust jackets. (Dust jackets rubbed at edges with some chipping and short closed tears, Vols. 2 & 3 well rubbed and chipped at edges with some creasing & loss to lower edge of Vol. 2 and spine of Vol. 3, all but Vol. I clipped) (Item ID: 37995)
