Bound in later scarlet half leather with marbled boards and endpapers, decorative gilt tooling, gilt title, etc to spine, raised bands, satin book mark, text in FRENCH. Corners and spine ends/edges a bit chafed, leather hinge of front board rubbed at hinge and starting to split, but board still holding, light browning and foxing to some pages, light nibbles to outer margin of last few leaves - not affecting text, first volume bound without page - others are present, ink underlining and marginalia on just a few pages, one-inch torn sections on the margins of a few pages. Overall a sound and attractive VG copy of these scarce titles. (Item ID: 703)
