The appendixes include a new transcription and translation of Dee's Liber Mysteriorum Secundus, and an important new translation of the section of the famous grimoire, The Sworn Book of Honorius, that gives details of what is clearly an early form of the Sigillum Dei. A reprint of a collection of tales and legends of "witchcraft, second sight, hobgoblins, and other kindred subjects, taken entirely from oral sources" that was originally published in 1902. Light bumping to spine ends, top edge lightly foxed, small separation between upper part of gatherings at pp 70-71, rear free endpaper stuck to fixed endpaper. Lengthy gift inscription on front endpaper, otherwise a very sound and unmarked copy. Still a VG+ copy in VG+ dust jacket. (Striking pictorial dust jacket very lightly rubbed, inner flaps lightly browned, price clipped).
