Hardcover, 8vo, x + 478 pp, Late nineteenth century half green calf marbled boards, gilt title to spine, raised bands. According to Mackey the author was 'A Masonic plagiarist, who stole bodily the whole of the typical part of the celebrated work of Samuel Lee entitled Orbis Miraculum, or The Temple of Solomon Portrayed by Scripture fight, and published it as his own under the title of 'Solomon's Temple Spiritualized; setting forth the Divine Mysteries of the Temple, with an account of its Destruction.' This Dublin edition was the first printing thus: Kelly later moved to the United States and published another edition in Philadelphia in 1820. The title page is missing a thin wedge-shaped sliver from the fore-edge margin, and is generally rather grubby. First few leaves are also lightly discolored, and there are some lightly toned patches throughout. A few pages have pencil marks in the margins, and some creasing to the upper margins of the last 20 or so leaves. The pages are retain their suppleness and are generally clean, and are tight within a solid binding - over all a VG copy.
