"A System of Magick" is the story, as Defoe saw it, of how the Devil seduced mankind into willing co-operation with him", and covers the whole range of occult subjects, from Necromancy to Astrology. First published in 1726, this volume is in many ways a sequel to Defoe's "The History of the Devil", though it was nowhere near as popular and thus is now much more scarce. From the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman, with his ex-libris seal blind-stamped on front free endpaper. Hint of rubbing at spine ends, else a sharp, clean near-Fine copy in VG+ dust jacket.
