The Book of Thoth.
New York, NY: Lancer Books, ND ( circa 1972). First paperback Edition. Softcover. Octavo. 288pp, b&w illustrations. An uncommon paperback edition of Crowley's master work on the Thoth Tarot. According to text on the rear cover this is the first time that the book had been published paperback form. This is probably true, as the Lancer edition is thought to date from 1972, and although Weiser and the Kashmarin Press both reprinted the work in hardcover in 1969, the now ubiquitous blue-covered Weiser softcover did not appear until 1974. Covers darkened, discoloured and and with a heavy crease to rear wrapper. Pages are quite browned (as common), heavy ink offset to subtitle page and reverse of first content page (no loss of text in either - obviously a printing flaw), otherwise it is unmarked. Still a tight, unmarked about VG copy. Item #63110
