The state first printing of the first edition of the magick workbook of "America's Witch Queen": Lady Sheba (Jessie Wicker Bell: 1920-2002) a self-proclaimed Gardnerian witch. "The Grimoire" includes her "Book of Shadows" (the first "Book of Shadows" to be published in the US) along with other additional material and went on to play an important part in modern constructions of witchcraft. Cover slightly warped (as common with this edition), a hint of yellowing to pages, otherwise a tight, bright near Fine copy in VG+ dust jacket. (White printed dust jacket is a bit darkened - as almost inevitable - and rubbed, a few light marks to spine, edges and points a bit chafed, price clipped.
