The author Helton Godwin Baynes (1882 – 1943), was an English analytical psychologist and a friend and translator of Carl Jung. "Mythology of the Soul" is Baynes' famous study of schizophrenia which combined the use of Jung's analytic method and a profound knowledge of the meaning of symbol, with his own clinical experience to explore in depth to extraordinary case-histories of schizophrenia, both of which linked art and creativity with dream and realms of myth. From these studies he drew much broader conclusions about the human condition. Light signs of use and handling, pages slightly toned but unmarked. Overall a solid, bright and unmarked VG+ copy.
