Two Volumes in One. xiv + 680pp. Green cloth with gilt title, etc. to spine, gilt device on front cover, blind rules, illustrations. Originally published in Latin in 1678, The Hermetic Museum was intended as a representative collection of the significant works of alchemy, many of which were rare even then. The translation was prepared for Lord Stafford by an unidentified alchemical scholar and was revised and edited by Waite. It was first published in an edition of 250 copies in 1893 by James Elliott & Co. Weiser published the first single volume edition in 1990, of which this is the first (1999) reprint. Never read, thus as new. A tight bright copy in Fine condition in mylar protected near Fine dust jacket.(Dust jacket lightly faded - as common). Item #65487
