Torkom Saraydarian (1917–1997) was born in Turkey and self-trained in esoteric teachings from a young age. He was also musically trained and was able to play the violin, piano, oud, cello, and guitar. Over his lifetime he wrote over 170 books (half of which have been published), hundreds of musical pieces and lectures. His works represent an effort to create a universal approach to life and spirituality using a synthesis of sacred cultures of the world.
