Written by an intimate colleague, the memoirs of Alfred Richard Orage (1873 – 1934) a man who abandoned a brilliant career to seek spiritual adventure in the Gurdjieff monastery at Fontainebleau. From the cover: "At the peak of his powers as one of England's greatest critics and editors, Orage abandoned his career to go to rigorous physical labor and mental discipline under the tutelage of Gurdjieff...". Light bruising and chafing to spine ends and corners, otherwise a tight and clean VG+ copy in G+ dust jacket.
