A pleasant edition of the "Historia Ecclesiastica" by the 5th-century C.E. Christian church historian Socrates Scholasticus (Socrates of Constantinople: ca. 380 – 439) which covers the history of late ancient Christianity from 305 to 439. This version was first published in the Bohn's library series in 1853. Very light shelf-wear, a few small bumps to bottom edge and bottom corners bruised and lightly rubbed.
