A treatise on the "hidden mystic meaning" of Freemasonry, intended "primarily for Masons." Published by the Hermetic Publishing Company - publishers of various works by A. S. Raleigh - who is thought to be the author of this work, under the psedonym "Phylotus." Dr. A. S. Raleigh, was apparently the 'Official Scribe' of a group called 'the Hermetic Brotherhood.' and author of a quite a number of alchemical texts, "Science of Alchemy", "Speculative Alchemy", "Hermetic Fundamentals Revealed" "Hermetic Science of Motion and Number", "Philosophia Hermetica", among others. Wrappers evenly faded and a trifle dusty, otherwise a near-fine copy. Item #26251
