Large octavo. xiv + 72 pp (10 pp plates + 1 pp adverts) Brick cloth with gilt titling to spine and device to upper board, blind rules, b&w illustrations. Reproductions, with translations and notes, of the texts of the 30 tablets from Drehem. They mainly concern business matters, and at the time of publication of the volume were thought to date from about the 24th century BCE. Light rubbing to corners and spine ends, cloth very slightly darkened at edges and spine, paper lightly browned. Overall a tight and unmarked VG+ copy. Quite scarce. Item #32121
