Between Two Worlds.

West Nyack, NY: Parker Publishing Company, Inc., 1965. Third Printing. Hardcover. Large octavo. xii + 298pp. Black cloth with white titling and decoration to spine and upper board. Spine ends and corners lightly rubbed. By Nandor Fodor (1895-1964 ), the Hungarian born psychoanalyst and psychical researcher. This work opens Fodor's private files to the world: "Here are true-life stories, fully documented, of strange phenomenon ... invisible bells, modern vampires, reincarnations, telepathic experiments, magic spells, dreams that reveal the future, hauntings and healings that science can't explain!" Fodor's interest in psychical research was fired by meetings with Hereward Carrington and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and he went on to became assistant editor of the oldest British Spiritualist journal, "Light", as well as research officer of the International Institute for Psychical Re-search. Fodor's massive "Encyclopaedia of Psychic Science", which he began writing in the 1920s, remains an important reference work on spiritualism and psychical research today. Modest signs of use, inked note in contents, otherwise unmarked. Overall, a sound VG copy in G+ dustjacket. (Dust jacket rubbed, chafed, with tears and chips along edges, not price clipped.
