Wynn Westcott (1848 – 1925) originally published under his magical name / motto "Sapere Aude" in 1893. Westcott was of course one of the founders of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Supreme Magus of the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (SRIA), and Master of Quatuor Coronati Lodge (the well-known London Masonic Lodge devoted to Masonic research). Cover edges lightly browned, previous owner's name ink stamped to inner cover, bookshop sticker, otherwise VG+ condition. A scarce printing. Item #34844
