Original red velvet over boards, coloured endpapers, colour printed throughout. A facsimile of a manuscript grimoire - right down to the binding, which like the original is genuine silk-based red velvet, with thick green silk endpapers. The pages are color printed, with real gold highlights, and are irregularly cut as per the original. Edition limited to 60 numbered copies. The work is a facsimile, with English translation, of a late 18th century manuscript held in the Wellcome Institute, London. The title of the manuscript is "Clavis Inferni Sive Magia Alba et Nigra Approbata Metratona," ("The Key of Hell with White and Black Magic Established by Metatron," attributed to "M: L: Cypriani." It is essentially a conjuration of the demon kings of the four quarters, with the supreme archangel Metatron invoked for protection. A small paper label at the rear gives the copyright and publication details, together with the limitation number of the copy. Fine condition. Item #38731
