'My Dear Aleister', Creating the Crowley Harris Tarot (Including Letters Between Lady Frieda Harris and Aleister Crowley).

NP ( London? ): Privately published, ND ( 2009 ?). First Edition. Softcover. Quarto. 145pp. Glossy pictorial wrappers. Illustrated in b&w. A self-published Print on Demand work on Aleister Crowley, Frieda Harris and the Thoth Tarot. INSCRIBED and SIGNED "With best wishes, Marlene Packwood," on the title page. This is the first "corrected" issue of the work - the title-page and most of the headings of the true first issue were typeset in "Noir et Blanc" which was interpreted by the printer as "WingDings" and thus came out as garbage! In this issue that problem has been corrected and the headings and text are all readable! The first 45 pages include extensive quotes from letters by Freida Harris - mostly to Aleister Crowley during WW2 and the text of a short "Lecture on the Tarot" by "Lady Frieda Harris" (sic). The remainder of the book is a "self-help manual" on reading the tarot cards by Packwood. From the library of English bibliophile and Aleister Crowley scholar Nicholas Bishop-Culpeper (1942-2011), with his book label tipped in at the rear. Upper corner lightly bumped otherwise Fine condition. Item #39560
