NP [ London ]: Privately Printed, 1943. First edition. Softcover. Octavo booklet. 16pp. Original printed stapled wrappers. A satire aimed at the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley, and his friend the British MP Tom Driberg who wrote various popular newspaper columns under the pseudonym "William Hickey" (including a chess-column that Crowley occasionally assisted him with). The booklet is one of two skits in booklet form published in 1943 by Cosmo Trelawny, a stage magician who was apparently almost as beloved of aliases as the Beast himself. The other booklet by Trelawny was entitled "The Mongolian Master." Both are written under the pseudonym Frater Om-soc - Om-soc being Cosmo spelled backwards. From the library of English bibliophile and Aleister Crowley scholar Nicholas Bishop-Culpeper with his book-label tipped in at the rear. Lightly browned and rubbed, staples a little rusty, otherwise a clean VG+ copy. Quite unusual. Item #39638
