Vol. I: 296pp.; Vol. II: 322pp. Original black cloth decorated and bordered in blind, spines lettered in gilt. The third American edition of this collection of essays, mostly recalling visits to places of literary and historical significance in England. Some rubbing and wear to cloth overall, half inch loss to spine ends and several small chips at mid-spine (both vols), corners of boards well chafed and worn, pages browned with occasional foxing (mostly to first and last pages), text unmarked. Overall a solid Good pair (no dust jackets). Item #44123
