Comprises eleven letters which are described in the preface in this way: "The assumption is that the author of the letters comprising this little book has become an inhabitant of the world beyond, and that, having learned something of its conditions and ways, he communicates to his wife here, what he has seen, heard and experienced there." From the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman, although not marked as such. Ex-library copy with the usual markings: remains of library shelf and hand-written title labels on spine, remains of library bookplate on front pastedown and on front free endpaper. Cloth a bit rubbed overall, spine leaned & darkened, corners and spine ends bumped & chafed, front free endpaper detached - but present, page-edges darkened, pages toned with some light chipping and short tears to pages, several page gatherings loosening in binding (and just holding).
