An extremely unusual South-African-published Spiritualist tract. The work comprises a Preface; Forward, and four chapters: The Psychology of a Soul; Spiritualism; Automatic Writing; The Power of Suggestion. In the Preface the author notes: "The following papers have been written by me automatically; that is to say, I have allowed a discarnate entity to take the lead in my consciousness to write them, and as automatic writings I submit them to my readers ..." Pale blue printed wrappers. Wrappers slightly discolored & chipped on edges, 1" tear at bottom of spine, offsetting from rusty staples in gutters, small creased to title-page bottom-corner, otherwise a solid, internally-clean near-VG copy.
