One of the many books written by Sir Oliver Joseph Lodge, (1851 – 1940) the British physicist and psychical researcher, who wrote extensively on parapsychology, science, immortality, and "survival after death." This work is primarily a critique of Prof. Ernst Haeckel's very popular biological/philosophical text "Die Welträthsel" (published in English as "The Riddle of the Universe") and some of the philosophical points it raises.
