An account of his communication with a spirit known as "H. J. L." through visions and automatic writing. Ward, was also a prominent Freemason and is now most widely remembered for his later work "The Sign Language of the Mysteries" (1928) a study of symbolism written from a largely Masonic perspective. Spine ends rubbed, slight bumps to top-corners of boards, top-edge a little dusty, else a clean VG+ copy in Good dust jacket (dust jacket rubbed & edge-worn, some fading and chipping at corners and top of spine).
