The author, a Harvard educated clergyman who had embraced Spiritualism, examines the New England Witch trials in the light of Spiritualist thought. Spine leaned, partial split to cloth at the hinge where the spine meets the front board, fraying to cloth at top of spine, with thin splits, bumps to bottom-edge of front board & corners of boards, page-edges lightly browned, previous owner's name stamp (Churches Fellowship for Psychical Study) crossed out on front pastedown. Previous owner's handwriten name on front free endpaper. Front board a little slack, but still firmly attached. An internally-clean Good+ copy. Item #52057
