Of this book, the author says in his preface: "The author desires to point out .... that his primary object is to establish the reality of a death-surviving consciousness, and to prove that this consciousness is distinct from, and has a separate existence from the normal consciousness of our everyday life, and that it constitutes that which is the one distinctive gift to man - the soul." Corners and spine ends lightly bumped and chafed, a few bumps and some light rubbing to edges of boards, endpapers lightly browned and foxed, pages lightly toned but clean and unmarked.
