The Egyptian Revival or the Ever-Coming Son in the Light of the Tarot.

The Egyptian Revival or the Ever-Coming Son in the Light of the Tarot.

Chicago, IL: Collegium ad Spiritum Sanctum Publication Department, 1923. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Large Octavo, xviii + 120 pp (+ 10 pp adverts). Original quarter green cloth with brown papered boards, gilt title, etc. to spine and front cover, and gilt Horus figure on front cover. Fold-out tree of life at rear. Edition limited to 1001 copies numbered and signed by the author, of which this is number 12, signed by Achad. In this work Achad (Charles Stansfeld Jones,1886-1950), explores and expands upon the radical reinterpretation of the paths connecting the Sephira which he first proposed in the appendix of his 'Q.B.L. or The Bride's Reception.' Boards quite heavily bumped and rounded at points, gilt titling on spine dulled and almost illegible (as usual) and gilt figure on front board rubbed and barely legible (again typical for this volume). Neat owner's name on front free endpaper. Pages 46 & 47 quite browned (a large piece of paper that must once have been inserted as a bookmark has offset) Obvious signs of use, but still a solid VG copy. Item #53349
