Item #53862 The Margery Mediumship - Unofficial Sittings at the Laboratory of the Society for Psychical Research. London, December 6, 7 and 8, 1929. L. R. G. CRANDON.

The Margery Mediumship - Unofficial Sittings at the Laboratory of the Society for Psychical Research. London, December 6, 7 and 8, 1929.

New York: The American Society for Psychical Research, ND [ circa 1930 ]. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Booklet. 32pp. Stapled wrappers. An offprint of this short study, reproduced from the journal "Psychic Research." An ASSOCIATION COPY, with "With the Compliments / Dr. L. R. G. Crandon / 10 Lime St. Boston" inkstamped on the front cover - Crandon being "Margery's" husband. A record of sittings by the famous medium Margery (Mina Stinson Crandon) who was believed by psychical researcher Hereward Carrington to be one of the most baffling he had investigated because some aspects - such as the 'manifested' thumb-prints - seemed plainly bogus, but others were to him genuinely inexplicable. Wrappers slightly discolored, staples a little rusty, otherwise a bright clean VG+ copy. Item #53862
