The text (in Greek) and English translation, with an extended commentary on the fragments of an early Christian papyrus (Egerton Papyrus 2) in the British Museum. The text was first published in "Fragments of an Unknown Gospel and Other Early Christian Papyri" (1935) and then in revised form in the present work in 1936. This is a slightly corrected reprint of the 1936 edition. From the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman, with his ex-libris seal blind-stamped on the title-page. Wrappers chipped & creased around edges, foxing to page-edges & prelims, otherwise a solid, clean VG copy. Item #54065
