Spiritualism and Christianity: An Address delivered before The London Spiritualist Alliance, Ltd., at St. James's Hall, April 20th, 1900.

London: The London Spiritualist Alliance, Ltd., 1900. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Booklet. 16pp. Stapled printed wrappers. A lecture reprinted from the
Spiritualist journal "Light." The author Rev. Hugh Reginald Haweis (1838 -1901) was an eccentric English cleric who had served under Garibaldi in the Italian War of independence and was a popular lecturer and author, mainly on music and his own rather varied life. He also had an interest in Spiritualism, as evidenced by this booklet, and was credited with the posthumously "writing" another book on the subject, the appropriately-titled: "Not Silent - If Dead - Through the Mediumship of Parma." Wrappers slightly discolored, offsetting to paper around the two spots where the original staples had been (original staples now gone, with two modern staples now securing the spine of the booklet), otherwise a solid, internally-clean near-VG copy.
