NUIT-ISIS. A Journal of the Nu Equinox. Volume II No. 1 [ Nuit Isis ].

Oxford: Nuit-Isis Publications, 1990. First Edition. Softcovers. Quarto. 11 x 8 inches. 32pp. Stapled pictorial wrappers. A single issue of this important British Thelemic journal. The journal was eccentrically produced (as Ben Fernee observed, a glorious typo in one issue advises us that "Every man and woman is a stat") and this extended to the numbering of the issues, which was not linear. While the first seven issues ( Vol I Nos 1 - 7 ) are straightforwardly numbered Vol. 1 No 8 was actually designated Vol II No 1 (as this one), with the series returning to Vol I Nos 9 & 10 for the next two issues. To make matters more confusing there was then a SECOND "real" Vol II No 1 which was also the last issue of the magazine to be produced. This issue is actually the mis-numbered Volume I, no 2. Includes: "The Manifestation of Maat" by Tanith Livingstone; "Dark Entries" by Zebulon; "The Moon Above the Tower" by Katon Shual; "A Hedonic Update" by Steve Mace; "Nema, Priestess of Maat" by Alistair Livingstone. Also includes book reviews, adverts, etc. Very light rubbing to covers- otherwise a fresh and unmarked near Fine copy. Item #56112
