George Robert Stowe [ G.R.S. ] Mead (1863 - 1933) was an English historian and writer who was a member of the Theosophical Society, as well as the founder of the Quest Society. In this volume Mead collects essays "illustrative of the quest of reality, the search for truth, or the restles striving of the human soul for the satisfaction of its needs, spiritual or philosophical, mystical or psychical. Most were previously published in the Quest Magazine, which he edited. Cloth a bit rubbed and chafed, spine ends and corners bruised and chafed with some light fraying, page edges and endpapers darkened and a little foxed, owner's name of first blank.
