[John Sebastian Marlow] Ward (1885 – 1949) was an English author and psychic medium who made many contributions to the history of Freemasonry and other secret societies, and was perhaps best known for his study of symbolism: "The Sign Language of the Mysteries". Other works of his include: "Freemasonry and the Ancient Gods", "Freemasonry, it's Aims and Ideals", "Studies in the Growth or Our Order", etc. Light bumping and chafing to corners and spine ends, cloth lightly rubbed, endpapers unevenly browned, owner's name on front blank, light scattered foxing.
