Item #57588 Witchcraft and Black Magic. Montague SUMMERS.

Witchcraft and Black Magic.

London: Rider & Co., nd (1946). First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. 228 pp. Original brown cloth, gilt title, etc. to spine, b&w illustrations, index. A broad ranging study of witchcraft and black magic by the remarkable Montague Summers: a true believer in the destructive powers of both. Unusual in the First Edition. This copy from the library of occult scholar and author Stephen Skinner with his ownership name in pen on front endpaper. Cloth a bit rubbed overall, corners and spine ends bruised, all edges and extremities a bit chafed, spine sunned and spine lettering quite faded, owner's name and date in pencil, page edges and endpapers a bit darkened and foxed. Still a tight and unmarked G+ copy (no dust jacket). Item #57588
