An unchanged reprint of the original edition of 1876 which included the text, 88 page supplement and plates. Although primarily devoted to playing cards, it includes chapters on the Tarot, Divination and Cartomancy, and is a valuable resource for research into the history of these subjects, with information on the history, design, printing, etc of the cards. Brand new copy - we literally opened the original sealed box in which it came to as to catalogue it. There is a little discoloration to the cloth, some darkening to the reverse of the dust jacket, and a faint musty smell from long storage (should go if aired out in a dry place for a while). Otherwise near-Fine in near-Fine dust jacket (a hint of wrinkling). Item #57872
