This copy INSCRIBED & SIGNED by Israel Regardie to his then-wife, Alice. The first separate edition of Crowley's epic mystical poem, with an extensive thirty page Commentary by Israel Regardie. This copy inscribed at the time of publication by Regardie to his then wife "Alice English" (Alice English Monsarrat, 1915-2005). The inscription is on the front blank and reads: "Xmas 1969. For Alice, with love, [signed] Francis" (Francis being Regardie's actual first name, and the name by which he was known to friends and family). Boards very slightly rubbed and darkened, spine ends lightly bruised, - otherwise a lovely clean VG+ copy. (no dustjacket - none issued with this 1969 edition). Item #57887
