Green cloth with gilt titling to spine and upper board; two large fold out maps in pocket at rear. An essay which sought "to establish by evidence obtainable from geology.... the facts stated in [ Blavatsky's ] 'Secret Doctrine' and in other works with reference to these now submerged lands". Cloth a bit rubbed and darkened with a few scratches, spine ends bruised and chafed, sticker from the Annie Besant Lodge of the Theosophical Society on front pastedown, later bookplate on front blank, pages toned with some scattered foxing throughout, tidy paper repair to tear at upper edge of title page, hinges split at endpapers and pulling a bit but still solid. Still overall a complete and unmarked about VG copy. Item #57905
