Item #57910 Motionism or The Word's True Religion. Curious, E. J. McCarthy MORRIS.

Motionism or The Word's True Religion.

London: The Caxton Press, ND [ 1919 ]. First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. 130pp. Original navy cloth lettered in blind on upper board, gilt lettering to spine. The author explains "Motionism" or his notion that matter and mind are one visible thing called 'Motionkey' - or "the sense-found trinity." Perhaps not surprisingly his theory was never widely adopted and he engaged in other pursuits, including patenting a non-slip device for pneumatic tyres. Corners and spine ends a bit bruised and chafed, bookshop inkstamp to front pastedown, pages toned. Overall a tight, clean VG+ copy. (no dust jacket). Item #57910
