Original olive cloth, with gilt titling and device to front board, and gilt titling to spine. The third volume in the "Facsimile Edition of the Nag Hammadi Codices" series, published "under the auspices of the Department of Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt in conjunction with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization." This volume reproduces in photo-facsimile the pages of Codex III, along with a descriptive Preface (parallel Arabic / English text). Although it reproduces the third of the codices, and is therefore notionally the third in the series, it was actually the seventh volume in the series to be published. Merest hint of shelf wear, cloth very slightly faded at extremities - otherwise appears unread, and thus in near Fine condition (no dust jacket issued). Item #58181
