Hardcover, Octavo. lx + 356pp. Original blue cloth with gilt title and author to spine and gilt stamped depiction of Mary and Jesus on the front board. Sixty-four full page black and white plates. A collection of one hundred and ten tales of miracles related to the Virgin Mary, translated From Ethiopic manuscripts: "The original texts, with English translations, of about forty of these were published by me in the volume "Miracles of the Virgin Mary", which Lady Meux printed for private circulation in 1900." Three small, circular library stamps (the size of a small finger nail) on the verso of the frontispiece, the verso of the title-page, and the margin of the penultimate page, respectively. No other library marks. Spine a little faded, tiny nick at head of spine, slight discoloration and abrasion to pastedowns, otherwise a tight, clean, VG+ copy (no dust jacket). Item #58463
