Notice [ re. Isis-Urania Dues ].

NP: ( Privately Printed ), 1894. First Edition. Leaflet. Octavo. A single 7 1/4 inch x 4 1/2 inch sheet, printed on the recto only. A notice sent to members of the Isis-Urania Temple of the Golden Dawn, announcing that the annual subscription of ten shillings is due. The sum could be paid to the Cancellarius,"V. H. Frater Levavi Oculos" Percy William Bullock whose address is given. Interestingly it also includes special instructions on how members should make their way to the room in Mark Masons' Hall, Great Queen Street London, presumably so that their presence would not embarrass the conventional Freemasons: "Please not that you must not enter Mark Masons' Hall by the front door, but go under archway and down passage, entering by a door on the left." Although the leaflet is undated, it is known that Bullock was Cancellarius of Isis-Urania from mid-1892 until March 1896 so the form must date from within that period. An extremely scarce piece of ephemera. Fine condition. Item #58603
