Malleus Maleficarum.

London: The Pushkin Press, 1951. Facsimile reprint. Hardcover. Octavo. xxii + 278 pp. Original deep red cloth, gilt title, etc. to spine, double column text, frontis. The most infamous text in the witch-hunters canon, Malleus Maleficarum contains a considerable collection of - often highly dubious - witch lore and myth, but it nevertheless became the standard reference work for the inquisitors and judges of the witch trials. Cloth lightly rubbed and slightly darkened, spine ends and corners lightly bumped and chafed, page edges darkened, pages toned. Overall a tight, unmarked VG copy in Fair dust jacket (Dust jacket rubbed, chipped and creased at all edges and folds, rear panel discoloured, price clipped). Item #58966
