A facsimile reprint of the1893 edition of this work. Valentine is thought to have been a Benedictine monk. This work was first published in German in 1624, although this current edition is translated from the Latin printing published in Amsterdam in 1685. Page edges a bit darkened and dusty, paper lightly toned. Still overall a tight, clean near Fine copy in VG dust jacket (Dust jacket darkened at edges and spine, light chafing & creasing to all extremities, short closed tear at lower rear, not clipped).
