Probably the best known of the sixteenth century alchemical manuscripts. This edition reproduces in black and white the plates of the magnificent British Museum manuscript. Spine ends and corners lightly bruised and rubbed, endpapers unevenly browned, contemporary bookplate on pastedown, Watkins bookshop sticker on front blank, page edges lightly darkened and foxed.
