Anathema of Zos; The Sermon to the Hypocrites, An Automatic Writing

Cincinnati, Ohio: Black Moon, 1985. Facsimile Edition. Softcover. Quarto. 22pp. Grey printed wrappers, with black fabric backstrip, A facsimile of the original 1927 edition with a new preface by Louis Martinié. Written in 1924, this "automatic writing" takes the form of a rather Nietzschean diatribe against conventional religion, conservative art, and, it might be said, almost everything else that Spelt felt to be constrained by the rules of convention. The author of the Preface, Louis Martinié, was the editor and founder of Black Moon Press, and also edited The Cincinnati Journal of Ceremonial Magick, a popular magickal / Thelemic journal published in the 70s and 80s. Covers lightly rubbed and creased with a few very faint marks, otherwise a tight, clean VG+ copy. Item #59527
