The verso of the title-page has the printed statement: "This review copy of In Quest of Abraxas is limited to 100 copies. This is copy ... [ 7, filled in by hand]." Beneath the limitation statement is handwritten "This is an Unproofed Copy." The author been engaged in the study of magic for decades - although of late he has been leaving in China and taking a particular interest in practical alchemy. The book comprises an Author's Preface and three main sections: Liber 151: A Quantum Interpretation of Magick; Liber 343: The Numeric Structure of the Universe; and Liber 288: Eros and the Phantasms that Bind. It concludes with an Afterword and extensive Bibliography. Whittington - who remains active but in relative seclusion - was well-known in British occult circles in the 1980s and 1990s.
