A reprint of Crowley's famous novel of addiction, magick and redemption. This edition includes a new Foreword by Leslie Shepard (1917-2004), a writer, editor and film-maker, who was commissioned by University Books to edit and write new Introductions and Forewords for a number of books on magic, mysticism and mythology in the 1960s and 1970s. Slight darkening and bruising to spine ends, edges a bit darkened, corners lightly bumped, otherwise a solid, unmarked VG+ copy in VG dust jacket (dust jacket panels a bit rubbed and darkened, some creasing and chipping to edges, a few small closed tears, not clipped).
