Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine and upper board, decorated in blind, beveled edges, printed endpapers. A collection of rather scathing vignettes of Blavatsky, Eliphas, Levi, etc. According to an editorial note the essays originally appeared in somewhat different form in a London weekly newpaper between 1894 - 1897. "Occultistic" selections are: Madame Blavatsky: A Priestess Unveiled; Bewitched by Blavatsky. Mrs. Besant: An English Born Hindu and Nirvanitas Nirvanitatum. A.P. Sinnett: Mr Sinnett on the Soul. Swami Vivekandanda: How to Be A Yogi. Eliphas Levi: Magic Made Easy and C. G. Harrison: Vortices!.
