Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine and upper board, decorated in blind, beveled edges, printed endpapers. A collection of rather scathing vignettes of Blavatsky, Eliphas, Levi, etc. According to an editorial note the essays originally appeared in somewhat different form in a London weekly newpaper between 1894 - 1897.
