Item #60540 Liber AL vel Legis sub Figura CCXX as delivered by XCIII=418 to DCLXVI.

Liber AL vel Legis sub Figura CCXX as delivered by XCIII=418 to DCLXVI.

San Francisco, CA: [ OTO ] Stellar Visions, 1987. First Edition Thus. Large format softcover. Quarto ( 11 x 8.5 inches), (iv) + 24 + (viii) + 66 + (ii)pp. Flexible clear plastic front cover over printed paper cover sheet, dark blue plastic rear cover, secured together with a blue 2 part plastic back strip. Hand-colored endsheets. An uncommon edition of "The Book of the Law" published by the well-known OTO figure Ebony Anpu and his co-publisher Lotte Lieb (Sr Iahan) under the Stellar Visions imprint. The verso of the first title page has a series of quotes from the Grady McMurtry versus the Marcelo Motta court case of 1985, whilst the final leaf has a statement about the O.T.O. on the recto, and a blank verso. The book comprises the printed text of "The Book of the Law" ("Liber CCXX"); the diagram "A few indications for the student of the line to be adopted in his elucidation of Liber AL"; from "The Equinox of the Gods"; the "Tunis Comment"; and a facsimile of the holograph manuscript of "The Book of the Law" (Liber XXXI). The manuscript facsimile has its own title-page with the unfortunate typo "as delibered (sic) by 93 - Aiwass - 418 to ..." Obviously the print-run was small as copies are seldom seen. PLEASE NOTE - What may appear like discoloration in the accompanying photograph is simply light reflecting on the glossy covers. The clips which secure the spine are starting to lift at the bottom, perhaps missing a couple of plastic pins, otherwise a bright, unmarked VG+ copy. Was $75.00. Item #60540
