Item #60549 AL (Liber Legis) The Book of the Law. Sub Figura XXXI, as delivered by 93 - Aiwass - 418 to Ankh-f-n-khonsu The Priest of the Princes who is 666. Aleister CROWLEY.

AL (Liber Legis) The Book of the Law. Sub Figura XXXI, as delivered by 93 - Aiwass - 418 to Ankh-f-n-khonsu The Priest of the Princes who is 666.

NP: NP, ND. Softcover. Slim octavo (8.25 x 5.25 inches). [32pp.] Stapled in original cream card wrappers, with "THE BOOK / OF / THE LAW / ALEISTER CROWLEY" within an Egyptian style decorative border on the front wrapper and the Tunis Comment printed on the back wrapper. Printed in black on cream paper stock. This appears to be a pirated version of the 1973 Level Press edition of "The Book of the Law" - it is basically exactly the same, but devoid of any publishing details whatsover. The first page has the A.: A.: "eye in triangle with outstretched rays" seal, above four lines of quoted text from "The Book of the Law." The verso of that page, which faces the title page, is blank. The title page reads "AL / (Liber Legis) / The Book of the Law / sub figura XXXI / as delivered by/ 93 - AIWASS - 418 / to / Ankh - f - n - khonsu / The Priest of the Princes / who is 666" ; the verso of the title page has "O.T.O." printed above a large O.T.O. dove and chalice seal; then comes the two page "Summons" from "The Equinox of the Gods" followed by a page with "A.: A.: Publication in Class A" above a large A.: A.: seal on the recto. "The Book of the Law" (Liber CCXX) starts on the verso. The text of this seems to be taken directly from the corrected 1942 US edition. The text ends on the recto of the final leaf, and the verso has the diagram "A few indications for the student of the line to be adopted in his elucidation of Liber AL," which was published as the final page (p. 138) of "The Equinox of the Gods." Back wrapper a little darkened near spine, still a tight, clean, VG + copy. Item #60549
